About This Tool
S106 financial contributions typically carry a spend-by deadline — usually 5 to 10 years from the date the council receives the payment. If the money isn't spent within that period, the developer can request a refund, often with interest. Tracking these deadlines across dozens or hundreds of live agreements is one of the hardest parts of S106 monitoring. This calculator takes your contribution receipt dates and spend-by periods and shows you exactly when each deadline expires, how much time you have left, and when to set alert reminders. You can also export deadline dates as calendar events (.ics) to import into Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar — so deadlines appear alongside your other commitments.
